Nitrogen turns into snow for X-Games Superpipe and Big Air
The Swedish freestyler Henrik Harlaut won the Big Air gold medal in X-Games in Oslo, skiing on snow made of gas from AGA. It was the third X-Games gold medal for Henrik.
To build the super pipe and the kicks for the Big Air competition, and to support with the required amount of snow during whole the X-Games competition, 400 ton of liquid nitrogen was used. 10 tons of liquid nitrogen per hour was pushed from the gas trucks into the snow machine.
